The area covered in the photographs can be measured in millimetres, but the prints are enlarged to as much as five feet by four feet, exposing great swirls of vibrant colours and shapes. They are not touched-up in any way, but left as nature intended. "You're getting a very brief look at something laid down in the mid to lower Jurassic period, millions of years ago, which when it is exposed shows off these brilliant colours. They are there two or three weeks, if the weather is good, or just days and then lost forever," says Neil.
